The Luxembourg Composition Academy is a one-of-a-kind event in Luxembourg, offering eight young composers the opportunity to work with the musicians of United Instruments of Lucilin and renowned guest composers. From 15 to 20 November, the participants take part in lectures, individual mentoring sessions and workshops led by composers Jessie Marino and Steven Daverson, as well as Bastian Zimmermann – director of the German contemporary music magazine Positionen.
Throughout this intense week of artistic creation, each composer develops a brand-new piece that will be premiered at the Closing Concert at the Philharmonie Luxembourg, held as part of the rainy days festival.
