LUST FOR LIFE returns November 9th at Dorothy as our monthly rock n' roll burlesque show! Hosted, Produced, & Curated by Kitty Tornado & Greta-X, you don't want to miss this showcase that's a celebration of bodies and rock n' roll!

Lust for Life was born from a lifelong love for rock n’ roll and badass self-expression. Named after the iconic 1977 punk album of the same title by Iggy Pop, Kitty and Greta aim to bring a variety of rock-based burlesque and boylesque acts to Dorothy each month with their co-curated line-ups against a soundtrack of timeless riffs! These badass babes hope to put on an evening that electrifies, delights, and celebrates TWO classically-rebellious forms of art TOGETHER AT ONCE: rock n’ roll music and burlesque striptease!

For November’s showcase, Kitty and Greta welcome in guest performers AngHell, Nadi A’Marena (from Twin Cities, MN!), Vayda Rhynstone, and Ms Jeff!

Doors at 7:15pm / show starts at 8pm! Arrive early for best seating opportunities! All guests must provide a physical ID (21+) for entry. If you are a guest who requires a seat and purchases an “Entry” only ticket - please reach out before the show and we will reserve a limited seat for you!

ABOUT THE CREATORS

Kitty Tornado (she/her) first dipped her toes into burlesque when she moved from Michigan to Chicago in 2014 and performed throughout the Midwest until 2019. With a degree in technical theater and production, she never expected she would love getting naked for the masses! She loves burlesque most for its creativity and liberation. Spending the last three years on a performance hiatus, Kitty traveled across Europe and lived overseas in España. When not storming the stage, she ‘grams about travel and food, and she collaborates with Greta-X in both burlesque and in visual art. She’s the threat of the Midwest! @katinamarguerite

Greta-X (she/her) is a visual artist and educator who sank her crooked teeth into local burlesque in 2017. A “Learning Queen,” for the past four years, she worked toward two Master’s degrees – one in Arts Management (completed in 2021), and an MFA in Photography (completed in May!) – and she has cultivated an artistic practice exploring femme autonomy and collaboration in sex work! Bringing together her love of rock music, glitter, and glamorous gender-bending, she’s the smartest ass at the top of the class… with flex n’ sex, it’s Greta-X! @ericamckeehen

ABOUT THE PERFORMERS

AngHell (he/him) is a mischievous rule breaker who was born and raised in Venezuela. He has always been involved in the entertainment industry – during his childhood he participated in TV commercials and plays, and later on he jumped into the model industry, participating in fashion shows and campaigns. His Latino roots have shaped him into a passionate dancer who enjoys all kinds of music. Some time ago, he took some dance lessons, and THEN he discovered his passion for pole dancing… the rest is history. He will fuck our life up! @stanleyanghell

Bible School's Baddest, Nadi A’Marena (she/they), has been entertaining audiences nationally and internationally with their rock n’ roll tease and biblical sleaze. Residing in the Twin Cities, Nadi A'marena is a member of Black Hearts Burlesque and Nadi X, a burlesque instructor and producer, and owner of Siren & Ice Rhinestoning. Known for their multifaceted performances, Nadi creates a vibrant connection with audiences through emotive choreography and eccentric costuming. A highlight of their decade-long career was competing for Best Debut at the Burlesque Hall of Fame 2023. They are the "Siren of Sleaze." @nadi_amarena

Ms. Jeff (they/them) is an earthquake whose aftershocks will leave you trembling with desire. Known for their high energy and brazen crowd work, Ms. Jeff cannot be contained. Experience the full force of punk rock, comedy, and pure sex of Chicago's own mischievous renegade! The best buttcrack in burlesque! @msjeffburlesque

Vayda Rhynstone (she/her) is an international burlesque performer and published pin-up/alternative model – with 11 glittering years experience in both! She is “The Diamond in the Buff.” @vayda_rhynstone

DJ DADDY:

Alex the Axe (he/him) is a proud Puerto Rican who loves metal, comic books, and making sweet tune-age with his collection of guitars. He has been living in the diaspora for 11 years and is always on the hunt for friends who want to make music with him. When he isn’t reading about world history, punk, and politics, flying up some tasty tostones, or spinning records, you can find him working at Alley Cat Comics in Andersonville on weekends where he will happily recommend you next favorite graphic novel… @alexander.the.dave
