Venue: The Forum – The View (next to Pizza Express first floor)Time: 12.30 to 1.10 pm (40Mins)
Dates: Sept (slight change to start) 17 & 24 Oct 1 & 8th ( This will be followed by weekly classes unto December)
Cost: £6.00
Each class will begin with a relaxing breathing meditation, followed by a short talk and then the class will conclude with another meditation.
About the course and benefits Everyone has potential for deep and lasting inner peace. Through listening to and contemplating Buddha’s teachings and within the context of our daily life, we will come to understand our real potential of having a peaceful mind. During this course of classes we will focus on becoming familiar with our natural stillness within, so that we can find it more easily – even during the busy-ness of everyday life. Everyone is welcome.
The classes are open to everyone and no previous experience is needed. Everyone very welcome.
After each class please stay for a free cup of tea, this will give you an opportunity to meet the teacher and like minded people.
With Buddhist Monk Gen Chökyong
A disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, Gen Chökyong is a Buddhist monk who has been studying, practising and teaching meditation for many years. He was ordained in April 2000 and trained at Tara Buddhist Centre, near Derby, one of the foremost Buddhist colleges in Europe.
When teaching, Gen Chökyong demonstrates a comprehensive wealth of knowledge, which he shares in a humorous and compassionate way
