About this Event
is delighted to present a free lunchtime concert of Indian Classical music, performed by the exceptional Silpi Paul (voice), Mayukh Gangopadhyay (sarod), and Shreekalyan Chakraborty (tabla).
Mayukh Gangopadhyay is a professional sarod player and composer from India following a combination of Shahjahanpur-Imdadkhani Gharana (style of music), now under the tutelage of Shri Arnab Chakrabarty and Pandit Abhik Mukherjee. He has received CCRT Senior Scholarship from the Ministry of Culture, Govt of India. He has been performing in Europe and India at various noted venues to name Shubh-e- Banaras, Varanasi; International Trade Fair, Kolkata; Indian International Centre, New Delhi; Peace Palace, The Hague, Netherlands; Maharishi European Research University (MERU Concert), Seelisberg, Switzerland; Westminster Music Library, London; Victoria Institute, Arundel ; Tagore Centre, Embassy of India Berlin, Germany ; Babel Sound world Music ; Indo-Czech Autumn Festival, Prague, Czech Republic etc.

Silpi Paul is a classical-semiclassical vocalist from Kolkata, India following Kirana & Benaras Senia Gharana (style of Music), a disciple of Pandit Arun Bhaduri and Padmavibhusan Vidushi Girija Devi. She is an All India Radio-A grade artist, and empanelled artist of Spic Macay and Doordarshan. She has been performing many prestigious concerts across India and abroad as well to name Uttarpara Sangeet Chakra, Ganbardhan, Pune, Matonga Sarat Chandra Arolkar Sangeet Sabha, Mumbai, Tagore Centre, Berlin, Germany; Theater am Faden, Stuttgart, Germany; Maharishi European Research University (MERU), Seelisberg, Switzerland, UN concert for Center for Heartfulness, Gandhi Centre The Hague, ICCR Concert Bangladesh.etc. She was awarded CCRT National Scholarship, and National senior Fellowship from Ministry of Culture, Govt of India, 'Girija Devi Sangeet Puroskar' & 'Surmani' from kal ki kalakar, Mumbai.

Shreekalyan Chakraborty is a young Tabla Player following Farukhabad Gharana, disciple of Pandit Anindo Chatterjee. He is an All India Radio 'A' Graded Artist and also has received CCRT National Scholarship from Ministry of Culture, Govt of India. He has been performing many notable concerts across India and Europe to name Theater am Faden, Stuttgart, Germany; Indo-Czech Autumn Festival, Prague; Maharishi European Research University, Seelisberg, Switzerland, Gandhi Centre, Embassy of India, The Hague, Netherlands, Sangeet Piyasi, Kolkata, India; Youth Festival, Punjab, India etc.
