is a British-born guitarist of Peruvian descent based in London. He frequently performs with many London-based Andean music groups, as well as performing as a solo guitarist. Currently, Robert 's focus is on promoting the Andean solo guitar tradition, exploring music from Ayacucho and other regions. These are classical guitar arrangements of folk songs typically performed in ensembles, and use many indigenous techniques and tunings which are unique to Peruvian guitar. He has presented his own research on Andean guitar at the CLACS Latin American Music Seminar, and delivered recitals at the Latin American House, Well Read Literary Festival and Festival Andino UK. Over various trips throughout Peru and Bolivia, he has studied with many respected Andean musicians and has learnt to play native instruments such as the quena, sikus, and the charango. His music is deeply rooted in ancestral Quechua traditions and evokes mountain landscapes, agricultural fiestas and the rural life of Andean people.
