Lunch with a Founder - featuring Erin Vranas

These part educational, part networking events are the perfect way to meet other founders in the region, learn from other people's entrepreneurial journeys, and get plugged in to the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Wisconsin.

This month Erin Vranas will be sharing her founder story.

Erin Vranas, who owns Parthenon Gyros on State Street in Madison with her husband Dimitri, has worked in restaurants since she was 16. Parthenon Gyros has been in its State Street location for 45 years.

Recently, Vranas has been working on her newest venture: Yips Yogurt Chips. Erin spent a year on business planning, while tweaking and testing her product. Yips went on the market in February of 2021, and is currently in twelve Foxtrot stores nationwide, three Metcalfe’s Markets in the Madison area and several other Madison-area shops. Erin will talk about her journey as a small-business owner and the process of developing Yips Yogurt Chips.

Erin also serves on the Board of Directors for the Wisconsin Restaurant Association (WRA). The WRA is dedicated to the success of the foodservice and hospitality industry.

This free event is open to members and non-members of StartingBlock Madison. It will take place at the Starting Block Office (821 E Washington Ave, 2nd Floor) at 12:00 PM on August 24th.
