Lunch with a Founder - featuring Ben Orozco at StartingBlock

These part educational, part networking events are the perfect way to meet other founders in the region, learn from other people's entrepreneurial journeys, and get plugged into the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Wisconsin.

This month features Ben Orozco, Artist and Designer of BEXORO Studio.

Ben Orozco will talk about his creative journey as a multidisciplinary artist and designer, navigating growth, creative exploration, and sustainability.

Biography (Personal): Ben Orozco is a Colombian-American artist and designer based in Madison, WI. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2019 with a BFA in Neon/Glass, Graphic Design, and Sculpture, and is a 2019-2020 Fulbright grant recipient (Boda glasbruk, Sweden). His practice re-encodes spaces, working in optical patterns, illustrations, cut paper, installations, and neon. He has exhibited his work locally, nationally and internationally, and is currently an Artist In Residence at StartingBlock Madison. His work has been published in New Glass Review 41 and 42 (Corning Museum of Glass, Corning, NY), and has been awarded for “Magically combining Art and Science” (Imagine Museum, St. Petersburg, FL, 2021).

Biography (Company): BEXORO Studio is the emerging design studio of Ben Orozco. He makes work that celebrates and elevates our everyday spaces, and works with clients who care about the arts, design, food, home, and the environment. His design process is heavily inspired by gesamtkunstwerk, an art movement describing building spaces and items as a "total work of art". As a multidisciplinary designer, he serves creative individuals, non-profit organizations, and small businesses in the Madison area.

This in person event is FREE and open to members and non-members of StartingBlock Madison. New entrepreneurs and students encouraged. Lunch will be provided.
