A respected figure in the fields of linguistics and cultural studies, Dr. Greendeer will share her insights on how language shapes our understanding of identity and community. With a focus on Indigenous languages and their significance, Dr. Greendeer’s presentation promises to explore the intricate ties between language, culture and heritage.About the Speaker
Dr. Nitana Hicks Greendeer has an MS in Linguistics and a PhD in Education. She is a member of the Mashpee Wampanoag tribe and currently serves at the head of the Weetumuw School.
