In honor of Veterans Day, join war historian Thomas Tart as he highlights the remarkable stories of World War II heroes with Central Florida ties, including James Van Fleet and James Gavin. Discover how these leaders shaped history on the battlefield and beyond, and gain a deeper appreciation for the sacrifices made by those who served.
About Our Speaker
Thomas Tart is a fifth-generation Floridian and an alumnus of the University of Florida, which he attended on a football scholarship, and the Stetson University College of Law. He worked for a civil-practice law firm for 14 years and then spend 30 years with the Orlando Utilities Commission as its house counsel, vice president, and general counsel. He has also been involved in many WWII veterans programs and in placing official historic markers about WWII in Florida.
