Presenter will be Tai Saylor and the presentation will be “How to get connected to your locally grown food system” Let's Grow Crazy gardeners are here to share how they are closing the gap between consumers and locally grown food through their farmer's markets, community garden beds, educational classes, and annual farm-to-table dinner and fundraiser. - Bio: Tai grew up, second generation, living on “Welcome Mountain” in Mineral Wells. She had her first farm-to-table experience in 5th grade when a local rancher visited her classroom and taught students where bacon comes from. That one experience led her to get a bachelors degree in Nutritional Science, serve as a nutrition and garden educator, be a food systems coordinator, and have grower mentors in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California. Today, Tai is giving back to the community that raised her as a grower at Rocky Hill Farms and a co-founder and Executive Director of Let’s Grow Crazy.
