Celebrate Lunar New Year 2026 in Maidstone with a vibrant programme of traditional performances and lively festivities in Jubilee Square.
The celebrations begin at 12pm with the eye‑dotting ceremony and lion dancing, followed by a colourful mix of He Wei Opera, Jose Navarro’s traditional Chinese puppet shows, and music from the SOAS Ensemble throughout the afternoon.
Dancing Lions return at 1.30pm before the final round of performances, with celebrations concluding at 2.30pm. Join us in the town centre for an afternoon full of culture, colour and community spirit.
