Lunar New Year Celebration

Celebrate Lunar New Year at Gotham Park!

Gotham Park invites you to our Lunar New Year, Year of the Fire Horse 2026 celebration on Saturday, February 28th, 1pm - 3pm. To usher in the new year with peace, prosperity, fortune and good health, there will be a traditional lion dance performance at Gotham Park. After the performance, the lion dancers will lead participants from Gotham Park to Mott Street via Park Row to join Chinatown's annual Super Saturday festivities! There will also be a very special appearance from God of Fortune Skateboarder at the Brooklyn Banks to bestow prosperity and luck!

Schedule of Events:

1:00pm-2:00pm Lion Dance Performance by Team Manjushri

2:00pm - 2:20pm Brooklyn Banks "Fortune God" Skateboarder

2:30pm - 3:00pm Walk with Lion Dance from Park Row to Chinatown
