Lunar New Year Banquet 2026 at Ka Shing Chinese Restaurant

Join us for an unforgettable evening as Asia Market and Ka Shing Restaurant invite you to ring in the Year of the Horse with an authentic Chinese-style banquet in the heart of Dublin!

The evening will be hosted by Eva Pau, TV Chef at RTÉ One and CEO of Asia Market, who will guide guests through the cultural significance of the dishes, the traditions behind Lunar New Year dining, and the festive symbolism of the Year of the Horse.

Step into the spirit of Lunar New Year as we gather around large dining tables to share in the tradition of this beloved celebration. This isn't just another dinner; it's an experience that brings people together through the art of shared dining and connection.

Your ticket grants you access to a full-course Chinese-style banquet featuring:

Starters:

• Dim sum platter: siu mai, shrimp dumplings, deep-fried beancurd roll, crispy wontons
• Mixed meat platter
• Shredded chicken with iceberg

Seafood Course:

• Beanthread noodles with garlic and steamed scallops
• Crab claws
• Jellyfish

Main Course:

• Salt and chilli seabass with rice
• Sichuan chilli beef
• Stuffed mushroom and green pak choi
• Sichuan dry-fried green beans
• Yangzhou fried rice
• Egg noodles with bean sprouts and scallion

Dessert:

• Chinese Style Egg Tarts

Your ticket also includes a complimentary drink. You may choose a glass of red wine, white wine, a bottle of Asian beer (TsingTao or Tiger), or a Coke.

We are pleased to welcome Luzhao, who will be present throughout the evening to serve complementary samples of their premium drinks. Guests will also have the opportunity to learn about Luzhao’s unique beverages and how they pair with selected dishes.

Our team from Asia Market will be on hand throughout the evening to guide you through dining etiquette and the cultural significance of the dishes, helping you explore authentic Chinese flavours as you enjoy every bite.
