Lumpy Grits Artistry presents Children's Theatre

Lumpy Grits Artistry is gearing back up for their 2022-2023 season. In 2018, LGA

produced an Afro-Greek version of Lysistrata and took the show on the road. In 2020,

LGA produced an Afro-Greek version of Elektra that was filmed due to Covid-19. The film premiered in June 2021. They are currently in production for Ratchet City Blues: The Documentary.

Join Lumpy Grits Artistry on February 25, 2023 at Central Art Station Engine for the LGA presents Children’s Theatre Short Scenes. The youth troupe will perform a trio of scenes such as the Cinderella Story, Anansi: Lord of Stories and Anansi Spy Tales: Tell Me A Tale of Resistance.

Come witness how the trickster Anansi the Spider gained the title lord of stories in all of Ghana Land and beyond. Using creativity and wit, Anansi creates several plans to meet Nyame the God of the Sky requests.

Catastrophe is in the air! A historical Black neighborhood is in danger of being torn down. There are also millions of dollars and data accounts that have mysteriously gone missing from one of the largest tech companies in the world. It's up to secret agents Titi and Shae to save the day before the historical neighborhood is lost forever along with efforts of building generational wealth.
