Lumonics Immersed is a transformative multi-sensory art experience. It originated in 1969 by the late light artists Dorothy and Mel Tanner, and continues to evolve. Its intention is to stimulate your creativity, and bring you into a state of comfort and expanded awareness. Each performance is orchestrated live and never repeated.

The Elements:

• The late Mel and Dorothy Tanner's Light Sculptures

• Original Special Effects and Visual Music

• Lighting and the Effects Orchestrated Live by Lumonics’ Marc Billard

"The cross between a yoga retreat and an acid trip." - OnStage Colorado

"Re-immerse yourself in the arts with the original immersive art show in Denver, Lumonics Immersed. Tucked away from the city lights, just north of downtown Denver, the Lumonics Light and Sound Gallery is among the first and longest-running light art studios in the United States." - Jessica Hughes, 303 Magazine

"Nestled in a warehouse in Denver is one of the most unique artistic experiences I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing. By day, the building is home to the Lumonics Light & Sound Gallery — a space that serves as a permanent art installation for the futuristic light sculpture of artists Dorothy and Mel Tanner. But on Saturdays, the gallery hosts Lumonics Immersed, a mesmerizing and immersive theatrical piece that’s designed to honor the memory of the Tanners. This exciting series of live performances at the Lumonics Light & Sound Gallery feels like the cross between a yoga retreat and an acid trip." - Anthony Tresca, OnStage Colorado

"The art here is breathtaking! All the colors, lights, and dimension you see when walking through their rooms is absolutely beautiful! What a light show!" - Miranda F.

“This is a unique experience not to be missed, truly the highlight of our trip to Denver.” - Bridget B.

"Lumonics is a light and sound experience that’s been around long before immersive art was considered a 'trend'”. - Maggie Donahue, Denverite

“Lumonics is a great space, and offers a spectacular multisensory experience. My wife and I had a great time at one of their presentations! Highly recommended, check it out for a unique spin on design.” - post seen on Reddit Colorado

“Learn the true meaning of Lumonics when the temple of light art by the late Dorothy and Mel Tanner throws a special immersive evening combining art with special effects, original music and video by Dorothy Tanner and longtime collaborator Marc Billard. An audiovisual mantra meant to soothe the mind and expand awareness, this drug-free trip through Lumonics is unforgettable.” - Denver Westword

“I have been a fan of these light sculptures for many years, (you’ve seen them too, in the special gallery off City Street at Meow Wolf). But seeing this visual performance with custom-made soundscape is a whole new level of visual & auditory satisfaction. They offer classes too. I highly recommend checking this out.” - Corrina E.

"Lumonics is an absolutely beautiful immersion of love, original music, and mind-bending light and visual art that blends over 50 years of psychedelia-inspired artistic audiovisual mastery." - Connor H.

"Thank you for a wonderful evening! Was so happy to learn about this amazing legacy and how it is being tended to for a new generation to appreciate." - Theo E.
