Lumberjack Festival Blue Ridge

Country Boy Stone will host the first ever Lumberjack Festival in Blue Ridge on October 29, 11am-6pm.

The Lumberjack Festival is a one-day family friendly event that will include show-stopping performances by professional lumberjacks that have been featured on ESPN’s Great Outdoor Games, STIHL’s Timbersport Series, and ABC’s Wide World of Sports. The Rookie National Champion is among the athletes at the day’s event.

“The goal for Lumberjack Festival Blue Ridge is to bring together mountain sport enthusiasts, families, and aspiring lumberjacks in celebration of the rich, storied culture of American lumberjack sport,” said Joseph Scherer, Event Partner. “We’re excited about the event, and hosting it in our own backyard, with a live audience. There will be something for everyone in the family here.”

The lumberjacks will demonstrate a series of events including log rolling, cross-cut sawing, axe throwing, chainsaw carving, speed climbing, and chopping contests. In addition to the show, there will be a local amateur competition, live music, food trucks, axe throwing, lumberjack yoga, axe history exhibit, vendors and pop-up shops.
