Lughnasadh (1 August) is the first harvest festival, honouring effort, skill, and the rewards of sustained work. It also acknowledges sacrifice — recognising that growth requires energy, time, and choice.
Within the personal journey, this festival supports honest reflection on progress, celebration of achievements, and discernment about what is worth continuing.
For millennia, pagan cultures have honoured the turning of the year through eight seasonal festivals, known collectively as the Wheel of the Year. These sacred points mark the shifting balance between light and dark, growth and rest, life and death — reflecting not only the natural world, but the rhythms of our own lives.
Uplifting Workshops invites you to explore this festival in a practical, embodied, and deeply personal way.
This workshop takes place in advance of the festival itself, allowing time to prepare and reflect. During the day, you will learn about the seasonal symbolism, deities, and myths associated with that festival, and how it relates to a particular stage of personal growth. You will also create what is needed to celebrate the festival at home on the actual sacred day, through a simple but meaningful ritual.
No prior pagan experience is required. The workshop is inclusive, grounded, and designed to support both spiritual exploration and personal development.
