Thijs Lodewijk (1973), known as LudoWic, is a Dutch musician, composer, and
multidisciplinary artist whose work bridges experimental electronics, forgotten
instruments, visual art, and sonic architecture. Born in Venlo and raised in
Dongen, he grew up in a household where music and visual expression were
inseparable. His father’s musicianship and mother’s visual sensibility formed the
roots of a dual artistic identity he continues to explore today. After being
accepted into both art school and the conservatory, he chose to study music at
Codarts Conservatory in Rotterdam, a decision that set the foundation for his
hybrid practice.
