Take a trip back to the days of hot rods, drive-ins, sock hops, poodle skirts, and pompadours with Lucky 757’s Rock ’n Roll Revue: A Tribute to the First Decade of the Rock Era. Rock ’n roll, rockabilly doo-wop, rhythm & blues, soul, surf, beach, and more.
This high-energy, multimedia show stars national recording artists and five-time VEER Music Award winners Lucky 757. Through video, narration, and wardrobe changes, audiences are taken on a journey from Sun Studio in Memphis in the early 1950s, to the streets and alleys of the big cities where doo-wop was born, all the way through to the early 1960s where all kinds of new sounds and styles were emerging from coast to coast.
Classic, timeless songs that have become a part of pop culture and are loved by multiple generations thanks to their appearances on TV and in films like American Graffiti, Grease, Back to the Future, and Pulp Fiction.
