Lucius Fox -
Together guitarist Jeremy Cronk and drummer Paul Drake Jr. are Lucius Fox, an instrumental duo from Kalamazoo, Michigan who have spent the past nine years at the grindstone creating complex music that moves between Metal subgenres with consummate ease. Each release they have created together has followed a theme or concept. "From a writing standpoint, I’m regularly influenced by science. I’m a high school science teacher and currently a masters student studying science education, so I’m immersed in it. We’ve played a few shows with our good friend Brian playing bass, but these were either early on before we’d really settled on the type of project we were going to be and a super fun Rush tribute set where he acted as our Geddy Lee. Lucius will always be a two piece though. Writing and performing as a two piece has pushed me to become a more creative writer and I love the challenge that it provides. Plus our band group chat is just a text message between Paul and I!” - J. Cronk

Strange Pains -
Ted Bradley (formerly Ted Billings) returns with Strange Pains, a project that weaves raw emotion into an immersive indie rock experience. Bradley first captured attention with his 2015 release Loneliness Is Blue And Not Blue under the name Philosophical Zombie, garnering acclaim from Stereogum for its “melancholy Guided By Voices” essence and from Brooklyn Vegan for its captivating blend of sludgy and pop-driven sound. With Strange Pains, Bradley evolves this foundation into a bolder, more nuanced expression of his artistic vision.
Now residing in Providence, RI, Bradley’s songwriting delves deep into themes of identity, existentialism, and introspection. His music draws from the emotional depth of Elliott Smith, the raw grit of The Replacements, and the rich sonic layers of Wilco, creating a sound that resonates on multiple levels. Influenced by the introspective storytelling style of Charlie Kaufman, Bradley crafts songs that serve as projection tests—inviting listeners to explore their own narratives within his evocative lyrics and soundscapes. Strange Pains not only builds on the introspective roots of Bradley’s previous work but also showcases sharper, more dynamic live performances. Whether addressing themes of isolation, loss, or the quest for meaning, his music fosters intimate connections with audiences, leaving a lasting emotional imprint.
Listen to Strange Pains on your favorite streaming service, and join the band on tour as they deliver powerful, soul-stirring performances that linger long after the last note. "The Diamond District" will be the new self released record in Spring 2025.
