Barney Kato returns to the Sydney Opera House studio with Luca Lozano and Mr Ho, the DJ / Producer masterminds behind the amazing Klasse Wrecks juggernaut (record label, merch, zines, podcasts and more) plus local rising icon Ciara and Barney In The Tunnel playing live. As the co-founder and one of the main artists of Klasse Recordings, British born Luca Lozano's music and dj sets are truly interactive, and balance somewhere between the boundaries of House and Techno. His music incorporates deep, dark and intense emotions, often contrasting tranquil with boisterous, hot with cold and joyous with melancholic.
Also filling the shoes of the labels A&R and creative director, he is heavily influenced by sub genres such as early 70s graffiti, punk rock photography and outsider art; all themes are clearly reflected in the label. While his work is deeply considered, he never forgets that dance music is for dancing and nightlife has and will always be about having fun.
Mr. Ho
Mr. Ho is a music collector, DJ, Producer and Label Owner.
Alongside Luca Lozano, Mr. Ho runs and curates Klasse Wrecks, the cult label that is responsible for some of the most highly anticipated and much-desired records in
electronic music in recent years.
Mr. Ho has made music for Klasse Wrecks, Cabaret Recordings, Clone, Permanent Vacation, Gudu and a few others. Every Mr. Ho release/remix has its own style, but is made with respect for each of the imprints/artists. Having started his career as a turntablist, Mr. Ho has an easy and natural ability as a DJ. His sets are energetic and unpredictable, rooted in House, Techno, Breakbeat and Electro.
Mr. Ho currently holds residencies at Mihn (Hong Kong) and Tresor (Berlin).
