The Lubbock NAACP is launching the Lubbock Law & Justice Institute, a new civic education initiative made possible through the NAACP BUILD Grant. This Institute is designed to increase legal literacy, civic awareness, and advocacy skills among youth and community members in Lubbock through accessible, community-centered programming.
Our first session, “Are You Legal? Know Your Rights on the Road,” will focus on what young drivers and passengers should know about their rights during traffic stops and other encounters on the road.
This session will provide practical information, real-life scenarios, and an opportunity to ask questions in a welcoming and informative space.
Dinner will be provided for participants.
Who should attend:
High school and home-schooled students, with preference for 10th–12th graders.
