Come join us for a fun-filled day at the LSCFT Student Event! We are excited to gather at the Grasshoppers Rugby Football Club, located in Preston. It's going to be an amazing opportunity to connect with fellow students and have the opportunity to network with some of our amazing teams across the trust! 🎉

Join us on Tuesday 22nd September 2026, when a member of the trust's senior team will open this exciting Student Learning & Careers Event with Lancashire & Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust.

This in-person event is a great opportunity for mental health, learning disability and adult nursing students to learn about the various career paths available.

You will get the opportunity to participate interactive sessions and presentations with guest speakers that will help you gain a better understanding of what LSCFT has to offer to staff & service users.

Opportunities to learn & meet our teams

We are excited to have various guest speakers at the event to talk about their services and provide learning opportunities! We are also planning to have some individuals with lived experience come to share their journey & experiences with their own mental health/physical health to our students.

At the event, you will have the chance to meet and network with professionals from LSCFT, Including Mental Health inpatient services and teams, Physical Health teams, Networks, Recruitment, health and wellbeing, & many more!!!

We will also be providing interview tips & tricks for our NHS vacancies as well as lots of goodies on the day!

When completing your application, please ensure it is clearly tailored to a Band 5 Nursing role and demonstrates your nursing skills, placement experience, qualifications and suitability for the post. Applications should clearly reflect your interest in and readiness for a nursing position.

Please note: Applications submitted without a confirmed Eventbrite booking will be withdrawn and will not be considered for shortlisting.

If you are successful at interview, any offer made will be conditional upon an approved vacancy being available when you have successfully qualified and obtained your NMC PIN

Please speak to the recruitment team for feedback. You are still welcome to attend the morning of the event focused around guest speakers and networking.
