RiverFest 2024, presented by LRCA and Minooka Subaru, will be held Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Rain date is Sunday, September 22). Our annual celebration of the Lackawanna River features educational and environmental displays, Steamtown National Historic Site's Ring of Fire, food, refreshments, and vendors. This is a family friendly event. Live music by Jeremy Burke at noon, and headlining band War Ballad takes the stage at 3:45. As of September 13th, we are not planning to paddle in to Sweeney's Beach because of the low water level in the Lackawanna River. Please check back here for updates up to the time of the event. We will have sign-ups at the LRCA table at RiverFest for people who want to volunteer to help us with a May paddling event when water levels are usually higher. Thank you!
