This two-day course is for paddlers who are confident on the Lower Dart and want to take the step up to the Loop. This course is being ran deliberately over week days, to avoid the crowds found at the weekend. However, if you are interested in the content below - please get in touch and I can certainly look at putting on a weekend course!📅 Day One – Coaching on the Lower
We’ll use the class 2 sections of the Lower Dart as a safe and supportive environment. Here we’ll focus on making class 3 moves in class 2 water — breaking down skills like tighter line choice, stronger break-ins and outs, and more dynamic ferry glides. Alongside the technical coaching, we’ll also work on building confidence and decision-making so you feel prepared and supported when stepping up.
🚀 Day Two – Stepping Up to the Loop
With those foundations in place, we’ll head onto the Loop. The aim is to take our time, break down each rapid into manageable sections, and apply the skills from day one to class 3 whitewater. You’ll learn the lines, practise control, and experience the step up in a supportive, coached setting.
✅ By the end of the course, you’ll have completed your first lap of the Loop — gaining experience, confidence, and the skills to keep building on future runs.
This course is priced at £170 per person for the two day course.
