Acclaimed singer-songwriter Cameron Whitcomb has announced a new series of US headline dates, continuing what has proven the biggest live run of his career. The I’ve Got Options Tour gets underway August 5 at Minneapolis, MN’s famed First Avenue and then travels until mid-November. Highlights include an eagerly awaited two-night stand at West Hollywood, CA’s historic Troubadour (October 4-5). Support on select dates comes from Jonah Kagen and Tayler Holder. General on-sales start Friday, June 13 at 10:00 am (local). For complete details and ticket information, please visit thecamwhitcomb.com [https://thecamwhitcomb.com/].
Having already spent much of the past year on the road, Whitcomb is set to keep the momentum going with a nonstop live schedule that includes this weekend’s at CMA Fest Presented by SoFi in Nashville, TN, with performances at Spotify House (Friday, June 6 at 1:00 pm) and the Good Molecules Reverb Stage (Saturday, June 7 at 2:45 pm). The Nanaimo, BC-based artist’s stacked live schedule resumes in July with the next leg of his hugely successful Hundred Mile High Tour, including a Canadian run that saw over 80% of all tickets sold out during presales before box offices officially opened to the general public. Highlights include sold out home province two-night stands at Vancouver, BC’s famed Commodore Ballroom (July 17, 22) and Kelowna, BC’s Revelry (July 25-26). Additional dates include festival performances at such iconic events as Calgary, AB’s Calgary Stampede (July 10), a recently added US headline show at Seattle, WA’s Showbox SoDo (July 18), a number of sold out previously announced US headline dates, and the eagerly awaited EU/UK leg of the Hundred Mile High Tour.
Currently boasting over 7M monthly listeners on Spotify, more than 3M fans across social platforms, and over 300M worldwide streams and counting, Whitcomb is well into what is shaping up as a landmark 2025, including the recent arrival of his fiery new single, “Gasoline & Matches [https://cameronwhitcomb.lnk.to/GasolineandMatches],” available now via Atlantic Records HERE [https://cameronwhitcomb.lnk.to/GasolineandMatches]. Produced by frequent collaborator Jack Riley (Knox, Grace VanderWaal) and co-written by Whitcomb, Riley, and singer-songwriter Chance Emerson, the incendiary track reminds us that while you can destroy the physical reminders of a relationship, you can’t burn the memories.
“Gasoline & Matches” follows this spring’s breakout hit single, “Bad Apple [https://cameronwhitcomb.lnk.to/BadApple],” which debuted as the #2 Most Added track at Alternative Radio outlets nationwide upon release. Produced by Jack Riley and co-written by Whitcomb, Riley, Nolan Sipe, and Cal Shapiro (co-writer of Alex Warren’s #1 hit single, “Ordinary”), the track sees Cameron pushing his intensely personal sound in a new alternative direction, employing the age-old metaphor of “one bad apple can spoil the barrel” to grapple with the idea of how things can be so good, yet so bad at the same time. Recently featured globally on the cover of Apple Music’s Today Country [http://apple.co/CameronWhitcombonTodaysCountry] and named to both Spotify and Amazon Music’s 2025 Artists To Watch lists as well as Shazam’s Fast Forward 2025 [https://www.shazam.com/fastforward2025/genre/country-rock], Whitcomb’s seemingly unstoppable run of new music has also seen him joining forces with rising indie folk artist Evan Honer for the raw and vulnerable collaborative single, “My Expense [
]“ along with his own emotionally vivid “Options [https://cameronwhitcomb.lnk.to/Options]“ and larger-than-life anthem “Hundred Mile High [https://cameronwhitcomb.lnk.to/HundredMileHigh].” The latter earned first-week streams in excess of 1.6M and critical applause from MTV, Entertainment Tonight, UPROXX, Ones To Watch, and ELLE, which named it among “The Best New Songs We Heard In January,” writing, “The return of modern folk was written in the stars… Cameron Whitcomb enters the conversation with ‘Hundred Mile High.’ The banjos pump the song forward, beckoning listeners on a cross-country road trip.”
2025 kicked off with the release of “Medusa (Acoustic),” a new stripped-down rendition of his captivating fan favorite, “Medusa,” available now HERE [https://cameronwhitcomb.lnk.to/MedusaAcoustic]. Featured as one of Billboard’s “5 Must-Hear New Country Songs [https://www.billboard.com/music/country/best-new-country-songs-flatland-cavalry-braxton-keith-1235823828/],” upon release, the original version of “Medusa [https://cameronwhitcomb.lnk.to/Medusa]“ has quickly amassed over 100M global streams and counting.
All this follows a breakthrough 2024 for the fast-rising 21-year-old singer-songwriter that featured the release of his remarkable debut EP, Quitter [https://cameronwhitcomb.lnk.to/Quitter-EP], available everywhere now HERE [https://cameronwhitcomb.lnk.to/Quitter-EP]. Partly inspired by his journey in overcoming addiction, the acclaimed collection - includes profoundly personal singles including “Love Myself [https://cameronwhitcomb.lnk.to/LoveMyself]“ and the soul-searching title track, “Quitter [https://cameronwhitcomb.lnk.to/Quitter],” the latter of which was praised by Billboard as “an anthemic folk track in the mold of Noah Kahan powered by a kick-clap beat and Whitcomb’s growling vocal.” Now boasting more than 85M global streams, “Quitter,” which chronicles Whitcomb’s battle to overcome addiction, further made history as his first-ever single to reach the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 – his biggest chart success to date. Whitcomb celebrated by traveling North America on hiswide-ranging Quitter Tour, a hugely successful run of headline dates that included sold-out shows at such renowned venues as Nashville, TN’s The Mil at Cannery Hall, New York City’s Mercury Lounge, and more.
One of the most captivating new songwriters of his generation, Cameron Whitcomb turns the most candid details of his real-life experience into songs with a strangely exhilarating power. Hailing from British Columbia’s Vancouver Island, Whitcomb left home at age 17 and got a job working on a pipeline, later spending much of his downtime singing karaoke and posting covers on Reddit. When an American Idol executive took note of his undeniable vocal talent, he landed a spot on the show’s 20th season and emerged as a top 20 finalist. Whitcomb then immersed himself in learning to write songs while deep in the process of getting sober. After making his label debut with 2024’s “Rocking Chair” – which amassed over 40M combined views across socials prior to its premiere – Whitcomb took off on a fast ascent that soon found him embarking on his first-ever headline run, the sold-out Quitter Tour.
