Low Light Jazz Night with Ella Beth and Lala & the Ya-Yas
About this Event
Low Light Jazz Night returns with a hint of the yuletide spirit in the form of a special Friday Christmas in July edition. Join on us Friday, July 31st as Ella Beth and Lala & the Ya-Yas will take the stage to paint their aural works of art with their own unique blends of jazz, blues, and soul.
Ella Beth
Bold Performance. Cheeky storytelling.
Where the sassiness of Jazz reaches into the sonic landscape of Soul
Crafting a genre blending world of Jazz, Soul, Gospel and Blues; her vocals have been likened to Amy Winehouse, Adele and RAYE. Her sharp lyrical acumen is directly inspired by artists like Lily Allen and Kate Miller-Heidke.
After moving from her home turf of Sydney to Vietnam in 2012, Ella Beth performed for over a decade throughout Asia, the Middle East and Europe with a long list of bands, notably international collective The Hanoing Jazz Band.
She was a finalist on The Voice Vietnam 2019 where she performed bilingually in both English and Vietnamese.
After moving to Atlanta, in 2023 Ella Beth won the Band Choice for Morrow Golden Voice competition and in 2025 won Alpharetta Idol.
In 2024, Ella Beth released single ‘Giving Up On Love’, a bitingly sassy piano heavy jazz track. The song has been featured on Australian online radio playlists and was chosen as the lead track for an Australian short film based on the song. December 2024, she released a follow up single, ‘Missing You (This Christmas)’, about being far away from home during the festive time of year.
She has featured on tracks with Kenyan artist Kwame Rigii (‘Jembe’) and French songwriter Kenjah David (‘Latin Afrosia’) as well as cowriting with a number of Atlanta artists in community songwriting hub, ATL Collective.
Her debut EP ‘Queen of Hearts’, a cheeky collection of songs documenting a tale of heartbreak through a bitingly witty yet sultry lens released to positive acclaim in June 2026.
Lala & the Ya-Yas
Georgia based event & party band headed by Lala. Since birth, it was the classic Playstation game "Bust a Groove" and its soundtrack that served as a major inspiration of her becoming an artist, but not just any type of artist. While rooted in jazz, musical theatre, and wind ensembles, she prides herself on being able to infuse her own brand of pop and soul into her lyrics and fit into many vibes within the musical spectrum either solo, duet, or 5-piece band.
