Loving Yourself Youth Suicide Prevention

The Loving Yourself Youth Suicide Prevention Summit is a powerful one-day event taking place on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Whitehall Shine Bright Community Center in Central Ohio. Hosted by the nonprofit organization Women Just Like Me, this summit will serve up to 100 youth (ages 10–17) and their families, focusing on suicide prevention, mental wellness, and fostering emotional resilience among Black and Latino youth.

The event features licensed mental health professionals, including Micah Morgan, Suicide Prevention II Specialist and Mental Health Clinician, as the keynote speaker. Joining her are Dr. Chante Meadows and Dr. Rayshawn Wilson, who will lead workshops on culturally responsive training, youth-led conversations, and healing arts activities.

Participants will engage in interactive breakout sessions covering identity development, social media wellness, and intergenerational dialogue. Local vendors, resource tables, and community advocates will also be present to offer ongoing support beyond the day’s programming.

The summit is designed to ensure that every young person in attendance feels seen, heard, and valued, while equipping families with tools to recognize warning signs and create safety plans.
