Loving Assertiveness for Founders
About this Event
Event Description
Every founder eventually faces the conversation they would rather not have — whether with a co-founder who is not pulling their weight, an investor pushing a direction they do not believe in, a first hire who has to be let go, or a customer who needs to hear “no.”
Most people handle these conversations in one of two ways: they go quiet and become resentful, or they become overly blunt and risk burning the bridge. Loving Assertiveness offers a third approach — a practical method for telling someone the truth while preserving the relationship and goodwill.
Drawing from thirty-five years of advising leaders across more than fifty countries, Mr. Khan’s session will be hands-on rather than theoretical. Students will be encouraged to bring a real conversation they may be dreading and work through it during the session, gaining greater confidence in how to approach difficult conversations effectively.
