Originaire de Brighton, le groupe Lovejoy propose un indie rock jeune, mêlant l’impertinence de la Britpop des années 90 à une touche post-punk. Fondé par le chanteur et guitariste William Gold – qui est également un streamer de jeux vidéo et une personnalité du web bien connu –, le groupe a sorti son premier EP, *Are You Alright?*, en 2021, suivi de *Pebble Brain*.
Avec un répertoire de chansons angoissées explorant les relations malheureuses, les divisions sociales et la réponse du gouvernement britannique à la pandémie, ces stars de BBC Introducing ont effectué une tournée aux États-Unis et se sont produites aux festivals de Reading et de Leeds.

Lovejoy are a British indie rock band formed in Brighton in 2021, consisting of William Gold, Joe Goldsmith, Ash Kabosu and Mark Boardman. Blending indie rock, post-punk and power pop with witty, emotionally charged songwriting, the band quickly developed a devoted international following through a series of acclaimed EPs, including Are You Alright?, Pebble Brain and Wake Up & It's Over. Self-described as "a band you can like," Lovejoy combine sharp lyricism, infectious melodies and an unpretentious approach that has resonated with a new generation of listeners.
Known for their energetic live shows, the band have built their career independently through their own label, Anvil Cat Records, growing from grassroots venues to major festival stages and international headline tours. Following the release of their debut album One Simple Trick and an extensive run of shows across Europe and North America, Lovejoy continue to evolve their sound while cementing their place among the leading voices of contemporary British indie music.
