About this Event
Menopause have you hot? Ever wondered why they call it ‘baby brain’? Or why you’re ‘moody’ while menstruating?
Join our panel of experts as they discuss the changes to the female brain at key periods of hormonal change. We’ll dive into the science of how puberty, pregnancy, postpartum, and menopause impact brain health, and strategies for mental wellness.
Panel discussion moderated by Melissa Grelo, co-host of Canada's #1 daytime talk show, The Social on CTV. Panelists include:
- Dr. Crystal Clark, Canada Research Chair in Reproductive Mental Health; Associate Professor, Department of Psychiatry, University of Toronto; Associate Head of Research, Women’s College Hospital
- Dr. Liisa Galea, Senior Scientist, CAMH; Lead, Women’s Health Research Cluster; inaugural womenmindTM Treliving Family Chair in Women’s Mental Health
- Dr. Melissa Holmes, Professor & Associate Chair, Department of Psychology, University of Toronto Mississauga
Bring your friends for a night of fun games, brain-teasing challenges, exciting door prizes, snacks and refreshments.
Hosted by CAMH, in partnership with the Women’s Health Research Cluster, ScienceUpFirst and womenmind.
To note: “Women” refers to a broad gender categorization that does not necessarily relate to one’s sex recorded at birth. We use the term for anyone who self-identifies as such, regardless of gender expression or gender identity.
