About this Event
Join SF Bay Area professionals for Lake Tahoe ski/ride trips now that WINTER is back in full snowy alpine wonderland mode, with 9.5 feet of snow at Palisades Tahoe.
Meet pass holders on Epic Pass, Indy Pass, Cali Pass, Mountain Collective Pass, Powder Alliance Pass and other independent resorts in California, and those without a pass, get hooked up with discount buddy passes from SnowPals' members (don't pay FULL PRICE!)
In addition, we have chase POWder trips to Mammoth Mountain Resort in the Eastern Sierra, Utah, Jackson Hole Wyoming, British Columbia, Colorado (when they get freshies again), the Cascades in WA state, JaPow in the Japanese Alps, Austria, the Italian (Dolomites), French Alps and whereever fresh POW beacons us.
Introducing our Peninsula Event Host:
Marc has been snowboarding since 2000, and he's been to almost every resort in
Tahoe, although he now mostly chases powder freshies at Kirkwood and sometimes at Heavenly resort. If it's not at least a foot of new snow, is it worth getting out of bed for? (YES!! LOL, you can thank me for not making that joke with inches :)
Marc only started blogging about his snowboarding trips since 2004, four years after he started snowboarding; he has since logged 171 powder day trips detailed with photos at https://marc.merlins.org/perso/snow/.
Marc also maintains a website that keeps track of every Caltrans road closure around Tahoe and sends out an email notification to his subscribers at https://marc.merlins.org/snow/
Aside from snowboarding Tahoe resorts, Marc likes to snowboard France/Switzerland, Canada, Utah, and Colorado (including Silverton) whenever there are freshies in the OpenSnow's three-day DEEP SNOW forecast.
At this event, Marc will help facilitate intros and connect participants for Tahoe trips/ridesharing .
