About this Event

Love to Draw is an exciting NEW project for Hull and Patrington in 2026. Following on from the Draw More project (now running in Pocklington only), the Love to Draw project aims to:

  • Provide FREE drawing guided tuition and social engagement opportunities in Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire, with objectives to use drawing as a way to promote and manage positive mental health.
  • Encourage the uptake of drawing for a healthy and happy lifestyle

Session details:

Neighbourhood Network @ 87 Goodhart Road, Bransholme, HULL, HU7 4EF

Friday 22nd May 12.30pm - 2.30pm - Drawing a TEAPOT

This exciting project consists of 12* sessions in Patrington and Hull, running one day per month. Each session last around 2 hours and consists of the following:

  • Meet with others - chat and make friends
  • Have a hot drink and get comfy
  • Start drawing - guided tuition all the way, perfect for beginners
  • Breaktime - time to rest your eyes! Fancy a top up? Get yourself another drink
  • More drawing
  • WOW! Look at what you have achieved. Get some inspiration for next time! Feedback only if you want it
  • Goodbyes and sign up for next time

We want to encourage EVERYONE to try drawing. Drawing is relaxing, fun and boost your confidence when you see what you can achieve! Drawing is a great way to spend time with others and meet new people. Sessions are run by Holly Capstick, a qualified teacher and artist. Holly has been teaching for many years and will deliver the session so that you ALL can achieve. If you have never drawn before, or if you are keen to improve and learn with others - this session could be for you! Our sessions are a safe space - we nurture a friendly and welcoming environment and we want everyone who attends to feel relaxed and content.

Places are FREE but you do ideally need to book, as places are limited.

*This project is initially funded for 12 months - further sessions are subject to further successful funding and cannot be guaranteed/.

This project has been funded by Health Stars and Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust.
