Love Sacramento: Sacramento Loaves & Fishes

In the spirit of hospitality and radical love, Loaves & Fishes is an oasis for guests seeking respite and a space of belonging. Help serve the homeless and serve meals in their dining area.

Because volunteers will be serving food, please ahere to their kitchen dress code as follows:

Closed-toed shoes (no sandals or flip flops)

Long pants and t-shirt/long shirt (no crop tops, tank tops, shorts, or sleeveless shirts.)

Dressing in layers is recommended as the indoor temps vary depending on the duty, time of day, and time of year.

If your hair is long enough to tie back or put up it should be secured at all times when preparing food, or a hair net will be provided if needed.

For parking: Volunteers will come to 1321 North C Street (make sure you go to North C and not C Street). The dining room is on the right side past the firehouse and school, right after the little red barn. Let the street monitor know you're volunteering in the dining room, they can direct you where to go. You can park anywhere on the left hand side of the street.
