The Buddha guided all of us to develop four “abundant, exalted, and immeasurable” qualities: Loving-Kindness, Compassion, Joy, and Peace. Happily, the Buddha provided many pieces of practical advice on this, on how to “blend like milk and water” and to live happily, out of compassion for the many, for the welfare of all beings. In this class, we will study the why and how of developing and applying these beautiful states of mind through reading, discussion, meditation, so that we can more fully live as blessings to ourselves and the world.
