About this Event
Step into a night where music bares its soul. Love, Folly and Passion on the Strings invites you on a journey through devotion, ardor, and desire—told through some of classical music’s most powerful works.
The evening begins with Chopin’s Four Ballades, a tempest of tender whispers and sweeping storms. Each ballade paints a story—of love unspoken, beauty lost, and courage rediscovered. In pianist Michele Garzo’s hands, their poetry comes alive with breathtaking intensity and grace.
From heart-stirring intimacy, the concert moves to Schumann Piano Quintet in E-flat major, Op. 44—a radiant celebration of friendship, creativity, and exuberant feeling. The piano and strings join in joyful conversation, trading passion and playfulness, heartbreak and hope. It’s music that makes you feel everything all at once.
Finally, the night culminates with Rachmaninov’s Sonata in G minor for Cello and Piano—a work bursting with romance and soul, a love story without words. It embodies the quintessential Russian Romantic sound—where the cello’s voice cries, trembles, and soars in perfect harmony with the piano’s warmth. Every note feels like a heartbeat.
This concert is a celebration of emotion in its purest form—a night where love dares, folly seduces, and passion burns bright. Whether you’re a lifelong classical listener or simply someone who loves beautiful things, this evening will speak directly to your heart, leaving you both breathless and inspired.
