Love, Death & Roses: A Performance Slam

Love, Death & Roses is Denver's quarterly performance slam hosted by Eve Addams and Matthew Brown. Twelve artists from across disciplines will go head-to-head to showcase their art, and in doing so, try their hand at winning $150. Peformers will be judged by the front row of the audience, equipped with roses. After each bracket, the judges will toss their roses to the performer they prefer. The performer with the most roses will advance onward towards the coveted prize of Hamlet’s skull, $150 dollars, and the title Duke / Duchess / Dux of Roses.

There are three overall rounds. During round one, each performer (or performing group) is allotted two minutes. There will be an intermission after round 1. In round two, six performers get three minutes and in round three, three performers will be given four minutes. For more details on being a performer, see the FAQ below.

Please note: The Bug has a strict NO GLITTER policy. That includes on clothing! If you are seen to have glitter on you or anything you bring with you, you will be removed from the premises and fined. Thank you for helping keep The Bug clean.
