RAINBOW ART LEGACIES | Telling our stories through the Arts, Music & History- ensuring their future, survivability and significance for future generationsWHY RAINBOW ART LEGACIES Project? Along with some political & social gains, the last few decades have resulted in many devastating losses and setbacks for our LGBTQI+ communities. This was most affected by the AIDS epidemic – where many lost 8 out of 10 of their friends, family and loved ones. Hate based laws and regulations, along with social stigma practically wiped out a whole generation of Talent, Love and History.

As we navigate this pivotal moment, marked by significant operational challenges and funding reductions, we are witnessing a concerning new erosion of empathy and solidarity towards people, their talents, and their legacies, that are simply living their truth. Our government is coming for and gutting nonprofit protections to choke off our funding — and it’s working. Long-time corporate funders are fleeing. Help us stay strong for the fight ahead.
RAINBOW ART LEGACIES Project helps to restore & give back some of this erased history, to help a new generation find their Identity, Place and Pride, through Music, the Arts, and documenting our stories… ensuring their survivability and significance for future generations. This includes Unity Coalition|Coalición Unida’s MIAMI GAY CHORUS, ArtLAB GALLERY @ the Scott Galvin Center, Our CAOBA People of Color Video Archives, and our TransLIVES Video Archives.
