DESCRIPTION
Poetry and prayer are sacred spaces of invitation that God offers us each Lent. These heartful sanctuaries beckon us into solitude, where God speaks to us through both the stillness of prayer and the beauty of poetry. As Hosea 2:14 promises, "I will lure her into the desert and there I will speak to her heart."
This Lenten retreat invites you to enter these quiet places within, to listen to God's loving call and respond through weekly reflections rooted in poetry. Our journey will blend the voices of classic and contemporary poets, including Augustine, John of the Cross, Mary Oliver, Teilhard de Chardin, Antonio Machado, and others. Together, we will explore themes such as Awakening to Prayer, The Journey of Prayer, Love that Makes All Things New, and God's Infinite Love for the World.
