Love aLIVE: Altar Making
5:00-7:00 PM
About this Event
How do we make space for what matters? For our second Love aLIVE, we explore altar-making and sacred space design as a tangible practice for holding, reflecting, and sustaining our inner and creative lives.
This session centers on the altar as a dedicated focal point: a desk for writing, a corner for making music, a shelf of cherished objects, or a room for quiet reflection. However it takes shape, an altar makes space for what matters most. It is a material reminder of the practices you are committed to and the person you are becoming. Drawing on concepts from set design, dramaturgy, interior spatial flow, and ritual practice, we will learn to build spaces that transform the desire for growth into a physical place where change can happen.
Facilitated by performing artist, ritualist, and curator Daevyd Pepper, this session moves from theory into practice. You will learn exactly how to plan, set up, and actively work with your own altar at home—designing a personal space that reflects your core values and invites you, every time you see it, back into the work of becoming who you want to be.
