The Louisa Waterford Prize Exhibition will be held at Etal Village Hall, at Ford and Etal Northumberland, over early Spring Bank Holiday weekend, Sat May 4 till Mon May 6 10.30am-4pm each day. Free admission. We'll be exhibiting the selected finalists work in the hall, as well as showing two individual solo exhibitions. The event will also feature special displays and workshops by other artists and makers already based at Ford and Etal. We will also be producing a special visitors' guide to historic art-e-facts across the surrounding area. Find out more about the event at www.thetinshed.co.uk
There will also be a special talk as part of the art weekend, by historian and author Caroline Ings-Chambers. The talk, Louisa Waterford - Artist, Philanthropist, Free Spirit, takes place at Lady Waterford Hall at Ford Village, on Sat May 4, 6.30am (talk begins at 7pm). The hall contains Louisa's famous murals and a collection of her watercolour paintings.
