More about the artists:

LAKSHMI

“What a voice, and what a sound as well! – Andrew Marston BBC Introducing Hereford and Worcester

Lakshmi is a Manchester based singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with a background in classical music. Along with her band and string trio, Lakshmi released her debut EP on 1st May 2020, which combines soulful folk/pop with haunting lyrics and string arrangements. Lakshmi has performed as a soloist at the Birmingham LG Arena and with the RNCM Session Orchestra, and was recently named BBC Introducing Artist of the Week for Hereford and Worcester.

Also trained as a classical violinist, Lakshmi has performed and recorded extensively as a session violinist and backing vocalist for artists including Ed Sheeran and Tyler the Creator, Ollie West and the Wildflowers, The Brand New Heavies, and Garage Classical. Lakshmi draws influence from artists such as Lianne La Havas, Jorja Smith and Elbow.

MADDY STORM

Maddy Storm makes unapologetic pop, blurring the boundary between contemporary hyperpop and something undefinably grittier - something with teeth and an almost industrial edge. Her songs invade the mind and confidently bed themselves in the memory, unafraid to launch into consecutive explosive hooks. They are written, produced and released entirely independently.

Recently championed by the likes of BBC Introducing (‘Record of the Week’) and Spotify - being added to five editorial playlists (Fresh Finds, Fresh Finds Pop, New Pop UK, Created by Women and Notable Releases), Maddy has her sights set on greatness in 2022. Carving out her own spectacular and unique lane within pop music, she is ready to provide the bizarre new world with a suitably space age soundtrack.

JAY PAGE

Born in the South but raised in the North, Jay has been dubbed to be the 'wild card of his time' with his vibrant electro-pop sound and emphatic performances. Having trained at a school in London, he continued his musical training in the acclaimed 'Leeds College of Music'. Then moving on to university, he flourished after finally finishing his training at 'BIMM Manchester' in 2020. Jay's heart-wrenching song 'Future Without U' was released in April 2020 and created a thunderous social media presence, accumulating over 300k followers on Tik Tok and peaking at 30k monthly listeners on Spotify. The song itself discusses the process of heartbreak, focusing not only on the sorrow it invokes emotionally, but the brightness it can add into a persons life. With the ‘trans anthem’ on the Horizon for March 2022, being dubbed as an 'artist to watch out for' doesn't do it justice; his fiery and eclectic personality is one that could shape the music industry and be a voice for the people who need it most for years to come.
