Lost Glasgow In Conversation With Artist Thomas McGoran Fundraising Talk
About this Event
Join us for a special in-conversation event with artist Thomas McGoran, hosted by Norry Wilson from Lost Glasgow, as part of Glasgow Doors Open Days Festival’s Talks Programme.
To coincide with an exhibition of Thomas’s artwork at the new Mini Festival Hub in Edward House on Sauchiehall Street, this engaging discussion will explore Thomas’s life, creative journey and artistic influences. Audiences will have the chance to hear more about the stories behind his work, the experiences that have shaped his practice, and his reflections on Glasgow’s people, places and built environment.
Taking place at the ARC, University of Glasgow, the event brings together two firm friends with a shared passion for Glasgow’s history, creating the perfect setting for a warm, insightful and personal conversation. Attendees can expect an inspiring discussion full of memories, creativity and reflections on the city that continues to influence Thomas’s work.
After the talk, there will be a special book signing with Thomas, where you can buy a copy of his book, meet the great man himself, and continue the conversation.
Thomas McGoran’s artwork will be exhibited from Thursday 17 to Sunday 20 September at the Mini Festival Hub in Edward House, Sauchiehall Street.
