About this Event
Who is the training for?
Professionals, People who get support, parents and carers.
Within the social care sector we are often at the face of supporting people at the end of their life. This course will explore experiences and consider strategies that can be applied in your working role and support you to have a better understanding and greater awareness of the impact of bereavement.
About the training
A one-day interactive course providing you with the opportunity to explore and appreciate the impact of bereavement on people being supported, their families and carers.
Working through the COVID Pandemic has been challenging for many of us working within the social care sector, particularly when we have been faced with the loss of a loved one or someone we support.
This interactive course will provide you with an opportunity to explore loss and bereavement in a sensitive manner and consider different models and approaches when dealing with bereavement.
Learning outcomes
• Explore loss and bereavement.
• Consider different models/theories of loss & bereavement.
• Share thoughts on how you can support people who have experienced loss and bereavement.
• Reflect on bereavement and grief relating to the COVID pandemic.
