Mark your calendars for a dash of "Heaven" on Sunday, August 24 at 1 p.m. That's when Grammy-Award winners Los Lonely Boys will bring their unique blend of rock & roll, Texas blues, brown-eyed soul, country, and Tejano to Chevy Court, making for an unforgettable Texican Rock & Roll experience at The Great New York State Fair.
Los Lonely Boys, the Texas-based band, catapulted to fame in the early 2000s, with the help of Willie Nelson, who discovered them in Austin clubs. Nelson not only showcased them at Farm Aid but also supported their initial recordings, even making a guest appearance on their self-titled, breakthrough album. The album, released in 2003, was propelled by the chart-topping single “Heaven,” ultimately selling over two million copies and spending 76 weeks on the Billboard Top 200, earning the band a Grammy for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group.
Their meteoric rise was chronicled in the documentary "Los Lonely Boys: Cottonfields and Crossroads" and the band later collaborated with icons like Carlos Santana and appeared on a John Lennon tribute record. Through it all, Los Lonely Boys have remained committed to their roots, producing music that honors their family's legacy while paving new paths in the music world.
All concerts/acts in the Chevrolet Music Series – including Chevy Court performances – are free to fairgoers with your Fair admission. Seating areas are available on a first come – first seated basis.
