ABOUT LOS CHAVOS
Los Chavos are an 8-piece Latin reggae powerhouse, igniting dance floors from Canberra to Colombia with their infectious energy and festival-ready sound. Led by Andy Jauregui from Cochabamba, Bolivia, and backed by seasoned musicians from Australia and South America, the band has been captivating crowds for over a decade across Canberra and the national festival circuit.
Their live show is a vibrant fusion of Afro-Latin rhythms, including cumbia, dub/reggae, and merengue, woven into complex arrangements that never stray far from their ska/reggae roots. Expect romantic ballads with a ska-cumbia twist, hard-hitting merengue horns colliding with calypso-hip hop, and a whole lot of hips swaying.
