Los Angeles Libros Festival

La sexta edición de Los Angeles Libros Festival ofrecerá una entretenida programación con cuentacuentos, conciertos, autores, talleres de arte, libros y comunidad. El escritor y periodista Gustavo Arellano será el anfitrión del festival el cual contará con más de 30 eventos y 22 autores e ilustradores representando 11 países. La entrada es gratuita.

El festival contará con la participación de Elizabeth Acevedo, ganadora del National Book Award for Young People’s Literature y la Medalla Carnegie; el grupo musical ganador del Grammy OzoKidz; Pedro Martín, ganador del Newbery Honor Award y el Premio Pura Belpré; y Susie Jaramillo, creadora de Canticos, la marca preescolar bilingüe galardonada y nominada al Emmy. También nos acompañarán otros notable autores incluidos Jesús Trejo, Eliza Kinkz, Mirelle Ortega, José Ramirez, Elisa Chaverri, Ericka Sanchez, Joe Cepeda, Racquel Marie y Leopoldo Gout. Además ofreceremos talleres de arte presentados por Self Help Graphics, LACMA y MOLAA así como horas de cuentos bilingües, manualidades y mucho más.

The 6th annual Los Angeles Libros Festival will offer a full day of entertainment featuring Spanish-language and bilingual storytelling, musical performances, authors, workshops, books, and community. Writer and journalist Gustavo Arellano will host the festival, which will feature more than 30 events, 22 authors and illustrators, and 11 countries represented. Free and open to the public.

The notable line-up includes Elizabeth Acevedo, winner of the National Book Award for Young People’s Literature and the Carnegie Medal; Grammy-winning musical group OzoKidz; Pedro Martín, winner of the Newbery Honor Award and the Pura Belpré Award; and Susie Jaramillo from Emmy-nominated preschool brand Canticos. Award-winning authors include Jesús Trejo, Eliza Kinkz, Mirelle Ortega, José Ramirez, Elisa Chaverri, Ericka Sanchez, Joe Cepeda, Racquel Marie, and Leopoldo Gout. Activities include art workshops with Self Help Graphics, LACMA, and MOLAA, as well as bilingual storytimes, crafts, and more.
