Join us for a riveting presentation by Lynne Thompson, Los Angeles Institute for the Humanities Fellow and Los Angeles Poet Laureate Emerita, as she discusses her creative process; balancing craft and critically engaged writing, and exploring themes in her new book, Blue on a Blue Palette. Drawing on nursery rhymes, Bible verses, and references to musicians, writers, and visual artists, she addresses the tension between creation and the political, focusing on the status of women and marginalized communities.
