About this Event
Join Deborah Gregory for an insightful presentation on Ballona Creek, its environmental challenges, and ongoing restoration efforts in the heart of Los Angeles. As a passionate advocate for the creek’s preservation, Gregory will highlight her role in the groundbreaking Ballona Creek Interceptor project, which has removed over 125 tons of waste from the waterway before it can reach the ocean.
Deborah Gregory is a longstanding board member of Ballona Creek Renaissance and a staunch protector of the wetlands and local ecosystems. With a background in interior architecture and sustainability, she is also the Director of Design at DIGBAR Interiors & Architecture in Del Rey, where she integrates eco-friendly solutions into her architectural practice.
The Los Angeles Institute for the Humanities is sponsored by the Dornsife College of Letters, Arts, and Science at the University of Southern California, which contributes to office and meeting rooms and generously underwrites a portion of the Institute’s annual budget.
