Ferris Heights UMC will have its annual Lord’s Day Festival on Saturday, October 4th, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Children’s activities will start at 9:00 a.m. on the playground and last until noon. The Craft and Bake store will satisfy your sweet tooth with many baked goods, snacks, casseroles, and an array of goodies. Bring your appetite. Turkey and dressing and trimmings will be served from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with takeouts available. The live auction begins at 1:00 p.m., and amazing items will be auctioned off, including 3 queen-size quilts that have been hand-quilted by the Ferris Heights quilters. There will also be a queen-size quilt, Log Cabin, available for a drawing. Tickets are available for a $1.00 donation. You do not have to be present to win. Tickets are available in the church office, at the Hair House, or from a church member. A portion of the contribution will sponsor missional organizations such as Waxahachie Care, Healthy Women Healthy Liberia, Beulah Harvest, Hope Health, Habitat for Humanity of Ellis County, Ellis County Women’s Job Corp, FirstLook, Worship Outside the Walls (WOW), and others.Come out for great food, fun, and fellowship at Ferris Heights UMC on October 4th beginning at 9:00 a.m.
